GEOTHERMAL

Geothermal Horizontal Loops

Geothermal Horizontal Loops

Where space allows, the sealed piping loop can be buried in trenches ranging from 3 to 6 feet deep.

Geothermal Vertical Loops

Geothermal Vertical Loops

Where space is limited, the sealed piping loop can be inserted in small holes ranging from 150 to 400 feet deep, that are installed using a well-drilling rig.

Geothermal Pond Loops

Geothermal Pond Loops

Where space allows, the sealed piping loop can be buried in trenches ranging from 3 to 6 feet deep.

Geothermal Well Water Loops

Geothermal Well Water Loops

Where groundwater is of adequate quantity and quality, well water can be directly used instead of the sealed piping loop.

Geothermal heating and cooling has been used since the late 1940s. The most efficient fuel-burning heater has an efficiency rating of 95%. In comparison, geothermal heating systems have efficiency ratings of over 400% and, with today’s tax incentives, can pay for themselves in 3 to 8 years, and show you a positive cash flow afterwards. Geothermal heating and cooling systems offer safety benefits as well. With no combustion, geothermal heating and cooling systems never produce carbon monoxide or any other greenhouse gases that pose a negative environmental impact.

The four common loop systems used are horizontal, vertical, pond and open. The loop system that is best for you depends on lot size, soil conditions and installation costs. Contact ACR Mechanical today to see which system will fit your needs.

New construction or existing unit replacement, ACR Mechanical is available for all your Geothermal needs. We can even add a Geothermal system to your existing furnace. We are a factory trained and authorized dealer for WaterFurnace, Climate Master and Bosch Geothermal systems.

Do I really need a service call for my Geothermal unit?

Heating

  1. Is the thermostat set above room temperature and set to heat?

  2. Is the switch on the side of the unit/furnace turned on?

  3. Are the furnace filters plugged and restricting air flow?

  4. Is the breaker turned on?

Cooling

  1. Is the thermostat set above room temperature and set to cool?

  2. Is the switch on the side of the unit/furnace turned on?

  3. Are the furnace filters plugged and restricting air flow?

  4. Is the breaker turned on?

If these steps don't resolve your problem, contact ACR Mechanical for FREE phone advice or to schedule an appointment.

Things to ask about when replacing your furnace or air conditioning systems:

  • Will there be a ACCA Manual J heat loss and load calculation?

  • Will the duct system be evaluated for today’s higher efficiency’s systems?

  • Will the duct system’s plenums and cold air drops be replaced?

  • Will the line set and electrical disconnect be replaced?

  • Will there be a new thermostat or humidifier installed?

  • Will the furnace combustion air intake be piped to the outside?

  • Will the contractor install the brand that best suits your needs?

Any of the above could change your estimated price.

Make sure you know what you are getting!
